Ronda Spanish Ibex

The Ronda Ibex is not only the tinny Ibex we have in Spain, their population is at the same time the smaller.

Due to these circumstances, it is necessary to book it with almost 9 months in advance, and to book the hunting during the Rut season if possible.

Their shapes are quite different in comparison with the Gredos or Sierra Nevada Ibexes but close to “some” of the Beceite’s Trophy, I mean the “V” Beceite’s shapes.

In fact this Ibex has the same AND than the Beceite ibexes, the only differences are the body and the shape sizes.

It is possible to combine this mountain hunt stalking with a hunt for Fallow deer or European Mouflon (Under request)

Ronda sits in the Serrania de Ronda, about 100kms / 60 miles from the city of Malaga, the perfect place to spend more time tan only hunting and combine with Holidays. Ronda is the third most visited city in Andalucia

The Trip

We will assist you in Malaga Airport on the clearing of your weapon, pick you up personally and be at your disposal at any time.

Transfer to the Hotel located at 2h to the Malaga Airport.

The Hunting Area is only at 40 minutes from the Lodge

As always, a rifle test is necessary. We will make the necessary checks before the hunt. We use to do that on the Ground to make sure the rifle is accurate.

If you don´t bring your rifle we have several ones perfectly optimized for this hunting with good scopes at very good zeroing.

We use a Leica Geovid binocular with a Ballistic chart in order to know the drop of the bullet anytime.

We seriously recommended you to use our own rifles in order to make your Trip more easy and comfortable.

On day 1, after breakfast, at 8h00, we will start the hunt.

We move to the mountains in 4×4 and we start spotting the best areas where the Ronda Spanish Ibex use to feed.

The hunting can take only a few hours, or whole day, depending of the chances we can have.

The 80% of the hunters take the sizes as trophy that they are looking for. We never shot trophies below the minimum size expected by the hunter.

Second day, if we didn’t take the trophy we use to have the same program.

The last day we move to the Airport.

If you want to combine Holiday with Hunting, it is absolutely possible. After or before the days dedicated to the hunt, you can explore the different places close to Ronda. Ronda itself is a great destination of spend a few days off. If you want us to arrange or give you some recommendations, we keep at your disposal.
